Pune Metro services on Corridor 1 between Swargate and Pimpri-Chinchwad and Corridor 2 between Vanaz and Ramwadi will operate only from 6 am to 6 pm on November 8, 2026, due to Lakshmi Pujan celebrations. Services on both corridors will remain closed from 6 pm to 11 pm, requiring passengers to complete their journeys before the evening shutdown.
The revised schedule applies to the two existing Pune Metro corridors and has been announced ahead of the festival. The metro administration has appealed to passengers to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with the temporary change in operating hours.
Under the schedule for November 8, trains will be available from 6 am until 6 pm. Regular metro operations generally continue until 11 pm, but services will not run during the five-hour evening period on the occasion of Lakshmi Pujan. Passengers travelling for work, shopping or festival-related activities will therefore need to account for the earlier end to metro operations.
The change currently applies to Corridor 1, connecting Swargate with Pimpri-Chinchwad, and Corridor 2, connecting Vanaz with Ramwadi. The source report states that no timetable change has been announced for Corridor 3, the recently started route between Hinjewadi and the district court. Services on that corridor are therefore reported to continue according to its existing schedule, although passengers using the route should check the latest information before travelling.
The temporary closure comes shortly after passenger services began on Pune Metro Corridor 3. According to the report, the Hinjewadi–Shivajinagar route recorded around 50,000 passengers on its first day of operation on November 4, even as many offices and commercial establishments remained closed for the Diwali holidays. The initial response has placed additional attention on service planning as regular workplace activity resumes.
The report also states that Pune Metro is expected to modify train frequencies on Corridor 3 in response to anticipated demand after the Diwali break. Trains are planned to operate every five minutes during peak periods and every eight minutes during less busy periods. These frequency changes are separate from the November 8 operating-hour revision for Corridors 1 and 2.
From November 9, Pune Metro services on the affected corridors are scheduled to return to their regular 6 am to 11 pm timetable. The restoration of normal hours will follow the Lakshmi Pujan holiday-related closure, according to the metro administration’s passenger advisory.
