Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu briefed Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Amaravati’s master plan, ongoing construction works and plans for modern infrastructure during a meeting in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday, according to Deccan Chronicle – South.

Yadav, who was visiting Andhra Pradesh to attend the Dasara Sharannavaratri festivities at Indrakeeladri and Vijayawada Utsav 2.0, called on Naidu at his residence in Undavalli. The two chief ministers also discussed cooperation between Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh in industrial, economic and cultural development.

Naidu explained the blueprint for Amaravati and outlined the construction of government buildings and other development initiatives being undertaken in Andhra Pradesh. He presented the proposed capital as a people-centric city with modern infrastructure, while also briefing Yadav on the capital’s future development strategy.

The meeting brought Amaravati’s planning and implementation machinery into focus through Yadav’s visit to the headquarters of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority at Rayapudi. APCRDA Commissioner V. Vijayaramaraju and Additional Commissioners A. Bhargava Teja and T. Rahul Kumar Reddy welcomed Yadav and his delegation.

At the Amaravati Integrated Command and Control Centre, senior APCRDA officials presented the capital’s urban planning framework, ongoing infrastructure projects and future development proposals. The presentation also included a demonstration of APCRDA’s digital twin platform, which officials used to explain Amaravati’s master plan, infrastructure development and the application of modern technology in urban planning and implementation.

Officials from different APCRDA departments took part in the presentation. The visit provided the Madhya Pradesh delegation with an overview of how Amaravati’s planning authority is presenting the proposed capital’s development through a combination of physical infrastructure programmes and digital planning tools.

The wider meeting also covered cooperation between the two states. Naidu enumerated development initiatives being undertaken in Andhra Pradesh, while the chief ministers exchanged views on current political developments and national politics. Minister Nara Lokesh welcomed Yadav at Naidu’s residence and presented him with a book on his Yuva Galam padayatra.

Yadav later met Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan at the latter’s camp office in Mangalagiri. Their discussions included wildlife conservation and biodiversity protection. Kalyan sought cooperation from Madhya Pradesh to strengthen tiger conservation measures in the Nagarjunasagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve and requested that an agreement for the reintroduction of gaur, or Indian bison, into the reserve be expedited.

Kalyan said he would visit Madhya Pradesh soon in connection with the proposed cooperation. The Amaravati development presentation and the proposed wildlife agreement were discussed as part of the two states’ broader engagement during Yadav’s visit.
