Namma Metro Timings Extended on October 3 as Bengaluru Crowd Expected

Namma Metro services in Bengaluru will run later on October 3, with Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) extending last-train timings across its Purple, Green and Yellow lines in anticipation of increased passenger demand.

BMRCL said the final trains from Majestic on the Purple and Green lines, which normally depart at 11.30 pm, will instead leave at 12.55 am towards four terminals. The extension is intended to help passengers travelling through the city’s central interchange during a period when higher crowding is expected.

On the Purple Line, the last train from Whitefield will depart at midnight, while the final service from Challaghatta will leave at 12.20 am. On the Green Line, the last train from Madavara is scheduled to depart at 12.15 am, and the final train from Silk Institute will leave at 12.20 am.

BMRCL has also announced revised last-train timings on the Yellow Line. The final service from Bommasandra will depart at 11.55 pm, while the last train from R.V. Road will leave at 1.15 am.

The extended schedule gives commuters additional time to reach the Metro network from key terminals and provides later connections through Majestic, one of Bengaluru’s principal interchange points. The timings apply to October 3, and passengers using the network that night will need to account for the different departure times from individual terminal stations.

BMRCL officials provided the revised timings while stating that the extension was being made because passenger crowding could increase on the day. No broader change to the regular operating schedule was announced in the information supplied by the corporation.
