The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation demolished 16 unauthorised structures across three zones on September 28 as part of an ongoing enforcement drive against violations of building regulations, according to the civic body.
CMC enforcement teams conducted field-level inspections in the Serilingampally, Kukatpally and Quthbullapur zones during the operation. The corporation said the inspections were aimed at identifying construction violations and taking action through the prescribed procedure under applicable building regulations.
Serilingampally recorded six demolitions, while four unauthorised constructions were demolished in Kukatpally. Enforcement teams also demolished six structures in the Quthbullapur Zone, taking the total number of demolitions across the three zones to 16.
In addition to the demolitions, the civic body served three notices and seized one unauthorised construction. The actions indicate that the enforcement operation included multiple stages, from field inspections and notices to demolition and seizure, depending on the nature of the identified violations.
The corporation has not disclosed in the supplied report the locations of the individual structures, the nature of the building violations, the ownership of the properties or the legal status of the constructions before action was taken. It also did not specify whether any occupants were affected by the demolitions.
