The South Central Railway has added a temporary halt at Yadadri railway station for two special trains running between Secunderabad, Sirpur Kaghaznagar and Hyderabad, as the railway prepares for higher passenger demand during the Bathukamma, Navaratri and Dasara festive period.
The additional stoppage applies from October 9 to 25. Train Nos. 07711 and 07712, which are part of 34 special services announced earlier to manage festive congestion, will stop at Yadadri during this period. Each of the two trains is scheduled to operate 17 services.
South Central Railway chief public relations officer A. Sridhar announced the decision. The temporary halt is intended to improve access to Yadadri for devotees travelling to the Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, while also serving passengers using the route for other journeys during the festival season.
Train No. 07711 will depart from Secunderabad at 12.10 pm and reach Sirpur Kaghaznagar at 5.30 pm. Under the revised schedule, it will arrive at Yadadri at 1.09 pm and depart one minute later at 1.10 pm.
Train No. 07712 will leave Sirpur Kaghaznagar at 6 pm and terminate at Hyderabad at 11.15 pm. It will reach Yadadri at 9.39 pm and depart at 9.40 pm. The one-minute scheduled halt is intended for boarding and alighting passengers at the station.
The decision comes as South Central Railway operates additional services to accommodate seasonal demand linked to Bathukamma, Navaratri and Dasara. The earlier announcement of 34 special services was aimed at easing congestion on routes used by passengers travelling during the festive period.
Yadadri railway station serves passengers visiting the temple town as well as residents and other travellers along the corridor. By adding the station to the special-service timetable, the railway has included a direct rail stop for passengers who might otherwise need to use connecting road transport from another station.
The additional halt will remain available through October 25, with the two trains continuing to follow their scheduled routes between Secunderabad, Sirpur Kaghaznagar and Hyderabad. Passengers using the service during the notified period will need to check the revised timings before travelling, particularly the short one-minute stoppage at Yadadri.
