Residents of Vasai-Virar will be able to access a range of revenue, identity, welfare and documentation services at nine camps between September 27 and 29 under a special Seva Sankalp campaign organised by the Vasai tehsil office, according to a report by Loksatta.
The camps will operate from 10 am to 6 pm at nine locations at the mandal level. The initiative is being conducted as part of the state-wide Seva Sankalp campaign, which is scheduled to run from September 17 to October 17, 2026, with activities being organised at different administrative levels.
The Vasai campaign will focus on the rights and certification needs of nomadic and denotified communities, while also bringing several routine public services closer to residents. Services listed for the camps include Aadhaar enrolment and corrections, caste certificates, income certificates, non-creamy layer certificates, domicile certificates, Ayushman Bharat cards, voter identity cards, ration cards, disability certificates and marriage registration.
The programme will also cover selected land and revenue-record services. These include updating 7/12 and 8-A land records, resolving pending mutation entries and distributing ownership certificates. The services are particularly relevant in a region where residents may otherwise need to make repeated visits to tehsil or other government offices for documentation and land-record matters.
The tehsil office will also provide information about several government welfare schemes during the campaign. These include the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme, the Shravanbal Seva scheme, the Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar scheme, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and the PM-Kisan scheme. The report does not specify whether applications for every listed scheme will be processed at the camps or whether information and guidance will be provided for subsequent applications.
The campaign is intended to make multiple services available at a single location for residents of Vasai-Virar. By combining identity documents, certificates, land records and welfare-scheme information in the same administrative exercise, the initiative brings together services that are usually handled through separate government channels.
Loksatta also reported that a Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Revenue Lok Adalat is scheduled to be held on September 30 to address pending quasi-judicial matters and certificate-related issues in the revenue department. The report did not provide further details about the venue, timings or the cases that will be taken up at the Lok Adalat.
The Seva Sankalp campaign will continue across Maharashtra until October 17, while the Vasai tehsil office’s nine local camps are scheduled for September 27 to 29. Residents seeking specific services will need to attend the designated mandal-level locations during the stated operating hours.
