The recruitment process for 31 vacant revenue servant posts in Vasai taluka has moved forward after the reservation draw was conducted at the tehsildar’s office on Monday under the chairmanship of Tehsildar Deepak Gaikwad.
The draw covered vacancies in both PESA and non-PESA areas and was conducted in accordance with the government’s reservation rules. Resident Naib Tehsildar Rajaram Devkate, Naib Tehsildar Shashikant Nachan and Block Development Officer Pradeep Dolare were among the officials present.
Vasai taluka has 38 sanctioned revenue servant posts, of which seven are currently filled. The reservation draw was held for the remaining 31 vacancies, including three posts in PESA areas and 28 posts in non-PESA areas.
In the PESA area, Kaman and Parol revenue circles were reserved for the Scheduled Tribe category, while Khanivade was reserved for the open category. In the non-PESA area, Gokhivere was reserved for Scheduled Tribes; Virar-1 for Vimukta Jati (A); Kaular for Nomadic Tribe (B); Navale for Nomadic Tribe (C); Mulgaon for Nomadic Tribe (D); and Kofrad for the Special Backward Class category.
Three revenue circles—Dahisar, Umelman and Vatar—were reserved for the Economically Weaker Section category. Sandor, Manikpur and Waliv were reserved for the Socially and Educationally Backward Class category. The seven circles allocated to the Other Backward Class category are Girij, Juchandra, Agashi-1, Nilemore, Umarale, Dhovli and Narangi.
Virar-2, Pelhar, Chandansar, Gass, Achole, Bolinj, Vadavali, Diwanman and Sasunavghar were designated for the open category. The draw also included special reservations for women. Manikpur was reserved for women under the Socially and Educationally Backward Class category, while Chandansar, Diwanman and Pelhar were reserved for women in the open category. Vatar was reserved for women under the Economically Weaker Section category, and Umarale and Agashi-1 for women in the Other Backward Class category.
The reservation exercise establishes the category-wise allocation for the 31 vacancies. The next stage of the recruitment process will determine how and when candidates are appointed to the vacant posts.
