A fire broke out in a multi-storey building on Dal Mill Road in Delhi’s Uttam Nagar on Sunday morning, burning several vehicles and prompting the deployment of multiple fire engines, according to a report by Jagran – New Delhi.
The blaze was reported from the Uttam Nagar area, where the fire spread within the multi-storey structure and affected vehicles parked at or near the building. Several vehicles were reported to have been completely gutted in the incident.
After receiving information about the fire, multiple fire department vehicles reached the location. Firefighters worked to contain the blaze and brought it under control after sustained efforts, the report said.
The incident highlights the operational challenges faced by emergency responders in densely built parts of Delhi, where multi-storey buildings, parked vehicles and narrow local roads can complicate access during a fire. The supplied report, however, does not provide details about the building’s occupants, the cause of the fire, the extent of structural damage or whether anyone was injured.
The report also does not specify the number of fire engines involved or the precise time at which the fire was fully extinguished. The fire department’s response at the site remains the only confirmed operational detail available in the supplied account.
Further information is awaited as the report is updated, including the cause of the fire, the condition of the building and vehicles, and any official assessment of casualties or property damage.
