The UP International Trade Show opened at India Expo Mart in Noida on September 25, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurating the four-day event in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The trade show will run until September 29 and is expected to draw international buyers, representatives and visitors from across the National Capital Region.
Shah and Adityanath arrived at the Expo Mart in a golf cart and visited exhibition stalls displaying products from Uttar Pradesh. Shah also sought information from officials about the event’s preparations and arrangements. He had been scheduled to reach the venue by helicopter, but the programme was changed and he travelled by road instead, according to the report.
The exhibition brings products from all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh under the “Local for Global” theme. The event is designed to place the state’s products in one venue for buyers and the public, combining business activity with cultural programming and public access.
The show’s published visitor schedule separates business hours from general entry. Business visitors can attend from 11 am to 3 pm, while public entry is free from 3 pm to 8 pm. The distinction is intended to allow commercial meetings during the first part of the day while opening the exhibition to wider audiences later.
The source report said that international participation would include buyers and representatives from several countries. It referred to 600 international buyers and representatives from 88 countries, while an earlier section mentioned 85 countries. Vietnam, Japan, Singapore, Russia, Austria and Belarus have been included as partner countries this year. The report also said the previous edition had one partner country.
For Noida, the event adds a significant visitor movement requirement around India Expo Mart, a major exhibition venue in Greater Noida. Visitors are expected to arrive from across the NCR, increasing the importance of public transport access during the four-day programme. The Noida Metro Rail Corporation has announced more frequent services to support the expected footfall.
According to the report, the metro will operate at intervals of seven and a half minutes on Saturday and 10 minutes on Sunday. The arrangement is intended to make travel easier for visitors attending the trade show. The report does not provide details of the specific line, stations or the duration of the enhanced frequency beyond the stated weekend schedule.
The event will also feature cultural programmes involving performers from Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai, including folk music, folk dance, Kathak and devotional performances. These programmes will run alongside the product exhibition and business activities.
The opening of the trade show places India Expo Mart at the centre of a four-day commercial and public programme involving state-level product promotion, international participation and coordinated transport planning. The next stated milestone is the continuation of the exhibition through September 29, with public entry available from 3 pm to 8 pm each day.
