Thakurnagar is set to be declared a municipality in West Bengal’s next budget, while the state government has announced a ₹50-crore development allocation and a plan to upgrade Chandpara health centre into a 100-bed hospital. Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari made the announcements at a Matua Gosai conference in Thakurnagar on Sunday, according to Anandabazar.
