Raipur airport will begin its winter flight schedule on October 25 with an earlier first departure, an earlier final departure and a new Alliance Air connection to Ambikapur, expanding scheduled air links within Chhattisgarh. The changes will also restore an afternoon Delhi service that was withdrawn during the summer schedule.
The first flight from Swami Vivekananda Airport will be Air India’s Delhi service at 7.55am, 30 minutes earlier than the existing 8.25am departure. The airport’s final scheduled passenger departure will also move forward, from 10pm to 9.35pm. Air India’s last departure will remain at 8.45pm.
The winter timetable will remain in force until March 27. Air India will continue operating three flights from Raipur, while its afternoon Delhi-Raipur service will return under the revised schedule. The service will depart Delhi at 11.10am and reach Raipur at 12.55pm, giving passengers another daytime option on the route.
The main regional connectivity change will come from Alliance Air, which will add Ambikapur to its Raipur network. The airline already serves Rewa and Jagdalpur from Raipur. Under the winter plan, Rewa flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, while Ambikapur and Jagdalpur services will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The Raipur-Ambikapur service will use the aircraft operating the Hyderabad-Jagdalpur route. The ATR aircraft will operate the regional circuit before returning to Hyderabad in the evening. This will create a direct air connection between Raipur and Ambikapur, two important urban centres in the state, while linking the service to an existing regional aviation rotation.
For passengers, the schedule changes will make departure timing more important. Travellers using early-morning services will need to reach the airport earlier, while those relying on late-evening departures will have a shorter operating window. The return of the afternoon Delhi flight provides an additional timing choice for passengers travelling between the state capital and the national capital.
IndiGo will retain its existing 15-city network from Raipur, with no change in the destinations served. These are Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Goa, Bhopal, Jagdalpur, Indore, Pune and Navi Mumbai. The airline operates an average of around 25 flights a day from Raipur, although frequencies will vary by day under the winter schedule.
Wednesday is expected to be IndiGo’s busiest operating day at Raipur airport under the new timetable. The schedule changes place Raipur’s airport in a wider regional mobility role: alongside connections to major metropolitan destinations, it will provide a direct link to Ambikapur and continue serving Jagdalpur and other cities within the state. The revised timetable will operate through March 27.
