Citizens visiting the centre for driving assessments and vehicle certification procedures have highlighted the absence of adequate seating, drinking water facilities and sheltered waiting areas, particularly during periods of high temperatures and heavy footfall.
According to transport sector estimates, the centre processes a significant number of two-wheeler licence applicants each day while also accommodating commercial vehicle inspections, fitness certifications and re-registration procedures. As Pune’s population and vehicle base continue to grow, demand for transport-related services has increased substantially, placing additional pressure on ageing administrative infrastructure.
