The latest forecast indicates limited rainfall activity across Pune and neighbouring districts of western Maharashtra. Satara, Kolhapur, Sangli and Solapur are also expected to see relatively subdued rainfall, although isolated showers remain possible. The regional weather outlook suggests that the current reduction in rainfall could continue for several days. For farmers, the issue is less about a single day’s rainfall and more about its timing and distribution. For Pune, the immediate forecast points to a quieter monsoon phase rather than a complete withdrawal of rainfall. The larger concern is variability.
