Traffic restrictions will be imposed on the Vazhikulangara–Anachal road in North Paravur for three days from Monday, November 2, as tarring work is carried out, according to an announcement reported by Malayala Manorama.
Vehicles travelling from the Aluva side towards Varappuzha and Ernakulam will not be able to use the affected road during the work. They have been directed to take the route from Anachal Junction through Chendamangalam Junction, Municipal Junction and KMK Junction before continuing towards Varappuzha and Ernakulam.
Vehicles travelling from Ernakulam towards Aluva and Manjaly will have to follow a separate diversion. They have been instructed to turn at Vazhikulangara Junction and travel through Paravur, Peruvaram, Pullamkulam and Chendamangalam Junction before proceeding towards their destination.
The restrictions cover the North Paravur-area road connecting Vazhikulangara and Anachal, where resurfacing work is scheduled to take place. The diversion directions are intended to keep traffic moving through connecting junctions while the road work is under way.
The affected routes link several important movement corridors in the region, including journeys between Aluva, North Paravur, Varappuzha, Ernakulam and Manjaly. Commuters using the road will therefore need to allow for the alternate routes during the three-day restriction period.
Authorities have advised vehicles to use the specified diversion routes from November 2. The restrictions are scheduled to remain in force for three days while tarring work is carried out on the Vazhikulangara–Anachal road.
