A new Amrit Bharat Express will connect Bhuj in Gujarat with Barauni in Bihar, providing a direct rail link across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar over a 2,532-kilometre route. The service will run three days a week in each direction, according to the railway information reported by Aaj Tak Business.
The train from Bhuj to Barauni will operate as train number 19427. It will depart from Bhuj at 5.30 pm and reach Barauni at 4.05 am after completing the journey. The service will run from Bhuj on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The return service, train number 19428, will depart from Barauni at 11.55 pm and arrive at Bhuj at 1.15 pm. It will operate from Barauni on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The route will include more than 20 stations across the four states. The listed stoppages are Samakhiali, Ahmedabad, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Bharatpur, Mathura, Hathras, Bareilly, Izzatnagar, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Siwan, Chhapra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur and Samastipur.
The service creates a direct connection between western and eastern parts of the country without requiring passengers travelling between the regions to depend on separate train services. Its route also links major rail centres in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, giving passengers access to intermediate cities along the corridor.
