Navi Mumbai Faces 10-Hour Water Cut for Urgent Pipeline Repairs

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has announced a temporary disruption in water supply across several areas due to urgent repair work on the main water pipeline. The repair work is scheduled for Wednesday, with the water supply in the affected zones set to be completely halted between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM on the same day.

This essential maintenance will impact a wide range of areas under the NMMC jurisdiction, including Belapur, Nerul, Vashi, Turbhe, Sanpada, Koparkhairane, Ghansoli, and Airoli. Additionally, the water supply will also be cut off in the Kamothe node of the CIDCO area during this period. In light of the disruption, NMMC officials have appealed to residents to cooperate and take steps to conserve water. The authorities have advised households and businesses to store enough water in advance to meet their needs during the 10-hour cut. Furthermore, the water supply in the affected areas is expected to resume on Thursday, albeit at low pressure, due to the ongoing repair work.

NMMC has requested that citizens plan accordingly and manage their water usage effectively during this temporary interruption. The repair work is vital to maintaining the integrity of the water supply system, and the corporation has assured that efforts will be made to minimize inconvenience.
