Mumbai-Riyadh Flights Add 7,400 Seats as Flyadeal Expands India Network

Flyadeal has launched a non-stop Mumbai-Riyadh service, adding more than 7,400 monthly seats between India and Saudi Arabia and expanding the Saudi low-cost carrier’s Indian operations to two cities.

The service began on October 3 and operates five times a week using Airbus A320neo aircraft. The airline said the route will operate on all days except Monday and Friday, with the Riyadh-Mumbai flight departing at 12:55 am and arriving in Mumbai at 7:40 am. The Mumbai-Riyadh service departs at 8:40 am and reaches Riyadh at 10:15 am.

The route gives Mumbai passengers direct access to flyadeal’s domestic network in Saudi Arabia. The airline said its operations at Terminal 1 in Jeddah and Terminal 4 in Riyadh will allow onward connections to destinations including Abha, Dammam, Jeddah and Medina.

Each aircraft assigned to the route has 186 seats in an all-economy configuration. The additional capacity expands travel options between Mumbai and Riyadh, two major business and mobility centres, while also supporting connections for passengers travelling onward within Saudi Arabia.

Mumbai is flyadeal’s second Indian destination after Hyderabad, where the airline began operating in July. A senior company delegation said the carrier is also planning links from Riyadh and Dammam to Lucknow, Calicut, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata. The airline did not provide launch dates for those proposed routes.

Sanjiv Kapoor, acting chief executive officer of flyadeal and executive vice president for strategies at Saudia Group, described India as one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing aviation markets and a strategic priority for the airline. He said Saudi Arabia is among India’s three largest international travel markets, with travel and tourism flows between the two countries continuing to grow.

Flyadeal, a member of the Saudia Group, currently operates a fleet of 47 Airbus A320-family aircraft from bases in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah and Dammam. It serves more than 40 seasonal and year-round destinations across Saudi Arabia, West Asia, Europe, North Africa and South Asia.

The airline plans to more than double its network and fleet to over 100 destinations and aircraft by 2030, in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. Its planned fleet expansion includes Airbus A321neos and A330-900neos, with aircraft additions scheduled to begin from 2027.
