Mizoram’s Chief Minister Inaugurates Aizawl Peak Resort Skywalk, A New Tourist Landmark

Mizoram’s Chief Minister, Lalduhoma, officially inaugurated the Aizawl Peak Resort Skywalk, a new landmark tourist attraction located at Hangi Lunglen Tlang, Aizawl. This innovative addition to the region’s tourism landscape is set to offer breathtaking views and attract visitors from far and wide. The Aizawl Peak Resort Skywalk is a brainchild of the family of Er. H. Ginzalal, who also serves as the Chief Minister’s Technical Adviser, and is managed by his family.

During the inaugural ceremony, Chief Minister Lalduhoma praised Er. Ginzalal and his family for their dedication, hard work, and unwavering faith in the development of this unique project. He noted that their perseverance had not only led to the successful completion of the Skywalk but also greatly contributed to the overall growth of tourism in Mizoram. “Their efforts have been richly rewarded, and we are all proud of what they have achieved,” said Lalduhoma. The Skywalk itself is an architectural marvel, constructed by Nail India Adventure Private Limited, based in Pune. Designed to offer an unobstructed, panoramic view of the surrounding landscapes, the Skywalk features toughened glass panels that are 30mm thick. Spanning 10 meters in length and 2.24 meters in width, the structure provides a unique vantage point for visitors, making it a must-see destination in Aizawl.

The Skywalk’s design ensures the highest levels of safety and reliability. The glass panels have been meticulously tested, with each square meter able to support up to seven people, and the entire structure being capable of holding 135 people simultaneously. In addition to these rigorous tests, a safety inspection was conducted by the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Mizoram. Their findings confirmed that the Skywalk could safely support up to 150 people, each weighing approximately 100 kilograms, at the same time. Despite the robust structure, for crowd management and safety purposes, the Skywalk will only allow 20 visitors at a time. The Chief Minister also expressed his gratitude for the contribution of this landmark to the state’s tourism development. He emphasised how projects like the Aizawl Peak Resort Skywalk not only provide a new and exciting experience for visitors but also play a crucial role in boosting the local economy by attracting tourism.

The Skywalk is part of the larger Aizawl Peak Resort, a project designed to promote the natural beauty and rich culture of Mizoram. Its successful implementation highlights the state’s growing potential as a top tourist destination in India. For the people of Mizoram, it is also a testament to the power of local entrepreneurship and the region’s commitment to sustainable development in the tourism sector. With this latest addition, the Aizawl Peak Resort Skywalk stands as a testament to Mizoram’s flourishing tourism industry. It offers visitors not only a thrilling experience but also a chance to marvel at the scenic beauty of the state, now accessible through this state-of-the-art platform.
