Mangaon Railway Station Sets Up Passenger Help for Ganesh Festival

Passenger assistance teams have been deployed at Mangaon Railway Station to support travellers during the Ganesh Festival journey period, Konkan Railway said in a post on X on Saturday.

The railway said Rail Yatri Sahayata Kendras, along with on-duty Commercial, Railway Protection Force, Government Railway Police and Home Guard personnel, are ready to assist passengers at the station.

According to the announcement, the personnel will help passengers and support a smooth and comfortable journey during the festival travel period. The post did not provide details on the number of staff deployed, the operating hours of the assistance centres or any changes to train schedules.

The arrangement brings together passenger-help facilities and security personnel at Mangaon station. The railway identified the Commercial, RPF, GRP and Home Guard teams as part of the on-duty support available to travellers.

Konkan Railway made the announcement through its official X account on September 12. The post referred to the festival travel period and urged passengers to use the assistance available at the station. No additional operational instructions or passenger advisory was included in the post.
