The Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation has intensified action against unauthorised constructions across the Uppal and LB Nagar zones, removing illegal rooms, additional floors, sheds, balcony extensions and other structures built without approval.
In the Uppal zone, civic officials removed unauthorised rooms constructed in the stilt parking area of a building at Birappa in Prashanthinagar Colony, Road No. 2. An unauthorised balcony extension projecting towards the road was also removed, according to the corporation.
Officials also dismantled an unauthorised commercial shed at Rampally under Ghatkesar Circle. At Dharani Colony in Medipally, enforcement teams removed centering work linked to an unauthorised penthouse. An unauthorised shed at Gayatri Hills Colony in Miyapur village, under Boduppal Circle, was also removed.
Further action was reported in Kapra Circle, where officials removed rooms constructed in the stilt parking area of Plot No. 236/C at Padmashali Township in AS Rao Nagar. The use of stilt areas for enclosed rooms can reduce the parking and circulation space shown in an approved building plan, although the corporation did not provide details on the individual properties involved.
In the LB Nagar Zone, enforcement teams removed unauthorised third and fourth floors from a building at Lalithanagar in Gaddiannaram, under Saroornagar. Rooms built illegally in the stilt parking area of the same building were also removed. Similar action was taken against unauthorised third and fourth floors at Maitrinagar Colony under LB Nagar Circle.
The corporation said building owners and developers must follow sanctioned plans and obtain the required permissions before undertaking additional construction. It said field inspections would be intensified to identify violations while construction was still under way, and that enforcement action against unauthorised structures would continue across the affected zones.
