L&T Construction Orders Expand Across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad

Larsen & Toubro has secured significant construction orders covering residential towers in Mumbai and Bengaluru and a commercial tower in Hyderabad, adding a major multi-city project pipeline to its buildings and factories business vertical.

The orders were received from what L&T described as a prestigious client, the company said in a statement on Monday. L&T classifies orders valued between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore as “significant”, but it did not disclose the value of the individual projects or identify the client.

In Mumbai, the company will construct nine high-rise residential towers, each comprising one basement and 50 floors. The scale of the development places the project among the city’s taller residential construction assignments, although the statement did not provide the project location, built-up area, apartment count or completion timeline.

L&T has also won an order to build nine residential towers in Bengaluru. Each tower will have three basements and 25 floors. The additional basement levels indicate a substantial below-ground component, but the company did not disclose details of the planned parking, services or other facilities associated with the development.

The Hyderabad order involves a premium commercial tower with five basements and 22 floors. The statement did not provide the tower’s expected office area, tenant profile, location or construction schedule. Taken together, the three developments span two major residential markets and one commercial office market, linking L&T’s order intake to continuing building activity in large Indian cities.

The orders have been secured by L&T’s residential, commercial buildings and factories business vertical. The company also said the business had received add-on orders for some of its ongoing projects, without specifying the projects, their locations or the value of the additional work.

The announcement reflects the range of construction activity handled by large engineering, procurement and construction companies in urban India, from high-rise housing to vertically planned commercial developments. However, the information released so far does not establish whether the residential projects are new launches, redevelopment schemes or part of larger mixed-use developments.

Larsen & Toubro is an Indian multinational with operations across engineering and construction, hi-tech manufacturing, products and services. The company said it operates across diverse domains and geographies. Further details on project timelines, execution milestones and the value of the orders were not included in the statement cited in the announcement.
