Krystal Integrated Services Expands into Wastewater Management with ₹19.62 Crore Contract

Krystal Integrated Services Limited (KISL), a Mumbai-based company known for its expertise in integrated facility management, is venturing into the wastewater management and effluent treatment sector. In a move to broaden its portfolio and capitalise on the growing environmental compliance market, KISL has secured a ₹19.62 crore contract from the Tindivanam Pharma Park Association in Chennai.

This is a significant step for KISL, which plans to build a ₹1,000 crore order book in the wastewater management sector over the next 18 months. The company’s foray into wastewater management aligns with the increasing regulatory demands for sustainable and efficient management of water resources in industries across India. Sanjay Dighe, CEO & Whole-time Director of KISL, shared his enthusiasm for this new segment, stating, “This sector presents tremendous opportunities for sustainable and profitable growth, particularly as regulatory pressures for environmental compliance continue to tighten.” Dighe’s comments highlight the company’s focus on embracing technology-driven solutions in response to a rising need for wastewater treatment in industrial parks and manufacturing clusters nationwide.

KISL’s entry into the wastewater management space is supported by a specialised team of over 20 professionals with a combined 200 years of experience in Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) processes, having worked across various industrial development corporations and the private sector. The company is now positioned to deliver advanced solutions for the treatment and management of industrial effluents, a critical requirement as industries move towards more sustainable practices. The contract with Tindivanam Pharma Park Association marks the beginning of KISL’s formal expansion into the wastewater treatment industry, with plans for further expansion across other manufacturing clusters in India. Currently, KISL serves 369 customers across 2,487 locations in the country, providing integrated facility management services. With a growing customer base and an expanding portfolio, the company aims to leverage its expertise in handling complex environmental challenges.

While KISL has been executing turnkey projects since 2019, the company officially formalised its entry into the wastewater management sector at the start of FY25. The company’s strategy to enter this lucrative market reflects its commitment to higher-margin, technology-driven operations, allowing KISL to move up the value chain in integrated facility management. The focus on Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) processes further strengthens the company’s position in the market. ZLD is a water treatment process that treats industrial effluent and ensures no liquid waste is discharged into the environment, making it a valuable solution for industries looking to adhere to stricter environmental regulations. KISL’s expertise in this area is expected to drive growth in the sector, helping industries meet their sustainability goals while also improving operational efficiencies.

The wastewater management market in India is poised for substantial growth, driven by stricter government regulations and a growing awareness of environmental sustainability. Krystal Integrated Services is well-positioned to capture this opportunity, as it expands its reach and continues to innovate with sustainable solutions. With a strong team, advanced technology, and a clear growth strategy, KISL’s expansion into wastewater management signals a promising future for the company as it embarks on this new chapter in its business journey.
