The approval enables work on a long-pending 120-metre viaduct near Kaikhali, removing one of the remaining engineering constraints on the Orange Line connecting New Garia with the city’s airport.
The clearance is significant because the unfinished stretch has interrupted continuity along one of eastern India’s most strategically important urban transport projects.
