Hyderabad Strengthens Tech Hub Status With Blackbaud Expansion
Hyderabad is set to strengthen its position as a major technology hub as US-based software company Blackbaud expands its presence with a second facility in the city’s Financial District. The new 45,000 sq ft facility will primarily house the company’s customer operations team and provide additional capacity for future hiring. It will complement Blackbaud’s existing HITEC City centre, which supports product management, enterprise technology, data engineering and research and development.
Blackbaud India currently has around 700 employees, with the company expecting its workforce across both Hyderabad facilities to reach 1,000 or more over the next 12 to 18 months. The expansion highlights the growing contribution of Blackbaud’s India teams to its global operations. Employees in Hyderabad are increasingly involved in technology and customer lifecycle functions supporting the company’s international business. The Financial District centre will focus mainly on customer operations while creating space for additional hiring as the company expands.
Blackbaud is also building an early-career talent pipeline in India through graduate recruitment across full-stack development, cloud engineering, customer support, sales operations and AI-enabled tools. The expansion reflects Hyderabad’s growing appeal for global technology companies establishing and expanding their operations. With teams working across AI, cloud, data engineering, product development and customer operations, Blackbaud’s growing footprint adds to the city’s expanding technology ecosystem.
The second facility and planned workforce growth are expected to create new employment opportunities while further strengthening Hyderabad’s role in global technology and business operations.
