India’s IoT landscape, Hyderabad-based spacetech startup Dhruva Space has announced an expanded collaboration with French satellite operator Kinéis. This partnership aims to introduce Kinéis’ IoT connectivity services in India and launch an IoT payload on Dhruva’s P-30 satellite, expected to take to the skies in late 2025.
Dhruva Space will facilitate Kinéis IoT services in India while developing innovative applications supported by Kinéis’ 25-satellite constellation. This collaboration encompasses a joint satellite mission, designed to bolster India’s space capabilities.
The partnership promises to deliver cost-effective, advanced, and reliable IoT solutions. It also aims to drive technological advancements and develop new applications and services tailored to the Indian market. The full-scale global commercial service availability of Kinéis IoT is scheduled to commence after the complete deployment of Kinéis’ constellation in early 2025. Dhruva Space will support this deployment through the development and large-scale manufacturing of end-user terminals in India.
