Delhi Traffic Police has announced road restrictions and diversions around Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Friday, October 30, ahead of Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s Aura India Tour 2026 concert. More than 11 roads in Lodhi Colony and nearby areas are expected to experience disruption from 1 pm until midnight as large crowds arrive at the venue.
The traffic plan includes eight diversion points around the stadium and surrounding roads. The affected routes include Bhishma Pitamah Marg, Lodhi Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg between the Defence Colony flyover and Lodhi Colony flyover, Archbishop Marg, Fourth Avenue Road, Fifth Avenue Road, internal roads around the CGO Complex and stadium, Barapullah flyover between INA and Jangpura Metro station Gate 2, Dayal Singh College Road and internal roads in Lodhi Colony.
According to the advisory, entry from the Lodhi Road–Dayal Singh College Road T-point towards Dayal Singh College Road will be closed. Traffic on Lala Lajpat Rai Marg heading towards Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Road will be diverted straight towards Lodhi flyover.
Vehicles approaching the stadium from Bhishma Pitamah Marg will face further restrictions. Traffic from the stadium red light will not be allowed towards Gate 1 or the Kotla Mubarakpur flyover and will instead have to take a U-turn towards Mehar Chand Market. Movement from the Kushak Nala bus depot red light towards Gates 3 to 7 will also be restricted.
The police have said that additional diversions may be introduced if required at Kotla Mubarakpur red light and the Bhishma Pitamah Marg–Lodhi Road T-point. The measures are intended to manage traffic movement around the stadium during the concert period.
Parking for the general public will not be available around the stadium. Limited parking at Sunehri Pul bus depot and Dayal Singh College will be reserved for special invitees through the organisers. Taxis, autorickshaws and cabs will not be permitted to stop along the roadside.
Designated pick-up and drop-off points will remain available at Archbishop Marg, Lal Masjid Pragati Vihar and the Kushak Nala bus depot red light. The traffic police have advised concertgoers to use the Delhi Metro as the most convenient travel option.
Passengers using the Violet Line can get off at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium or Jangpura stations and walk to stadium Gates 13, 14 and 17. Passengers using the Yellow Line can alight at INA or Jor Bagh stations, take a ride to the Kushak Nala bus depot red light and access Gates 3, 6 and 8. The restrictions and diversions will remain in force from 1 pm to midnight on Friday, with further changes possible depending on traffic conditions.
