Delhi-Rohtak Road Set for World-Class Highways
Delhi’s road infrastructure, a crucial 13.2km stretch of Delhi-Rohtak Road (NH-10) is set for development into a world-class highway. The stretch, running from Peeragarhi Chowk to Tikri Border, has been transferred to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for a much-needed upgrade, which promises to ease traffic congestion and improve the overall road conditions along this key corridor.
This development is part of an ongoing initiative to upgrade major roads within Delhi and integrate them more effectively with the broader national highway network. The stretch in question, used daily by thousands of commuters, has long struggled with deteriorating conditions due to poor drainage systems and damaged infrastructure. Existing drains along the road, ranging in width from one to 1.5 metres, will be expanded to three metres.
