cm reviews boudh projects seeks public involvement
In a high-level review held at the Boudh Collectorate, the Odisha Chief stressed the need for accelerated progress on critical development projects in the district.
Expressing satisfaction over infrastructure milestones, Majhi insisted on timely delivery, strict quality checks, and active public participation to ensure meaningful outcomes. The Chief Minister reviewed ongoing initiatives, including a Rs 28 crore road project, a 300-bed hospital, a new bus terminal, and a much-anticipated railway line connecting Nayagarh to Boudh. These projects are nearing completion, with the state preparing for formal inaugurations in the coming weeks. During the meeting, Majhi directed officials to address delays and maintain construction standards. “Projects must be completed on time without compromising on quality,” he said, stressing regular inspections and community engagement as ways to improve efficiency and transparency.
The review brought to light several persistent challenges, notably in land acquisition, funding, and manpower. Majhi urged immediate coordination with the state government to resolve these bottlenecks and offered to personally intervene where needed to speed up processes. Special focus was given to the sectors of education, healthcare, agriculture, and sports. The Chief Minister instructed officials to develop a sector-wise action plan and modernise school and hospital infrastructure. He also called for enhanced support to farmers through better facilities and connectivity. Looking ahead, Majhi encouraged officials to explore opportunities in industrialisation, tourism, and renewable energy to position Boudh as a model district. He mandated a comprehensive development blueprint be prepared within the next month.
The meeting was attended by MP Sukant Kumar Panigrahi, MLAs Saroj Kumar Pradhan and Kanhai Charan Danga, along with senior district officials, marking a coordinated push toward transformative development in Boudh.
