This configuration caters to various passenger needs, offering both comfort and affordability.
Advance reservations for the new service opened at 8 AM on May 3, allowing passengers to plan their journeys in advance. The introduction of this train is part of Southern Railway’s broader efforts to enhance passenger amenities and improve the overall travel experience. This development also aligns with the Indian Railways’ commitment to promoting sustainable and equitable transportation options. By providing efficient and accessible train services, the railways aim to reduce reliance on less eco-friendly modes of transport, contributing to environmental conservation efforts.
In addition to the Chennai-Jodhpur service, Southern Railway has announced the augmentation of the Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil Vande Bharat Express with four extra chair car coaches starting from May 8. This enhancement aims to accommodate the increased passenger demand during the summer season.
