BigBloc Construction Revenue Jumps 31% as AAC Demand Expands

BigBloc Construction reported a 31% year-on-year rise in revenue from operations to Rs 162.01 crore for the six months ended September 30, 2026, as volumes increased and demand widened for its autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) blocks, bricks and AAC wall panels.

The Ahmedabad-based manufacturer recorded revenue of Rs 123.67 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. The company attributed the growth to higher volumes, improving operating performance and wider market penetration for its construction products.

Operating profitability improved at a faster pace. EBITDA rose 201.4% to Rs 9.61 crore in the first half of FY27, compared with Rs 3.19 crore in H1 FY26. The EBITDA margin expanded to 5.93% from 2.58%, which the company linked to operating efficiencies and cost discipline.

BigBloc’s net loss narrowed 57.2% to Rs 3.47 crore from Rs 8.11 crore a year earlier. The company remains loss-making at the net level, but the reduction in losses indicates an improvement in its reported financial performance during the period.

The company also reported growth in the second quarter of FY27. Revenue from operations increased 23.1% year-on-year to Rs 82.86 crore from Rs 67.32 crore. Q2 EBITDA rose 75.70% to Rs 3.33 crore, while the EBITDA margin improved to 4.02% from 2.82%.

The quarterly net loss stood at Rs 2.75 crore, compared with Rs 3.15 crore in the same quarter a year earlier. The results cover the company’s AAC blocks, bricks and wall panels business, which supplies materials used in construction.

Mohit Saboo, director and chief financial officer of BigBloc Construction, said October 2026 was the company’s highest-ever month for turnover and sales volume. The statement refers to performance after the six-month period ended September 30 and provides the company’s latest indication of sales momentum.

AAC is a lightweight construction material used for blocks, bricks and wall systems. BigBloc’s reported performance therefore provides a company-level indicator of demand and operating conditions in a segment linked to building activity. The supplied results do not provide a broader industry-wide demand estimate or disclose the company’s absolute sales volumes.

The company has reported stronger revenue, improved operating margins and a narrower net loss, while its transition to net profitability has not yet been completed. Further financial disclosures and subsequent results will show whether the improvement continues beyond the first half of FY27.
