Bengaluru has intensified its efforts to tackle the growing challenge of construction and demolition (C&D) waste, launching a coordinated citywide drive to clear illegally dumped debris from roads, footpaths, lake buffers and vacant public spaces. The initiative marks a renewed push to improve urban cleanliness, protect civic infrastructure and strengthen sustainable waste management in one of India’s fastest-growing metropolitan regions.
The Bengaluru Construction Debris Management Drive aims to improve the collection, transportation and scientific disposal of construction waste while discouraging unauthorised dumping through stricter monitoring and enforcement.
