Ayodhya Deepotsav Preparations Get Security and Mobility Push

Ayodhya Deepotsav preparations received a push for faster construction, tighter security and smoother crowd movement after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inspected key event venues and riverfront facilities in the city on Monday.

During his day-long visit, Adityanath reviewed arrangements at Ram Katha Park, Ram Ki Paidi, the Saryu Aarti Ghat and the site where a stage is being constructed for the celebrations. He sought updates from officials on completed and pending works and directed departments to finish all arrangements within the stipulated timeframe.

The inspection covered both event infrastructure and visitor access. At Ram Katha Park, the chief minister reviewed preparations at the venue, including ongoing construction activity. He instructed officials to ensure adequate security, proper facilities and coordination between departments as preparations continue.

With a large influx of devotees and tourists expected during Deepotsav, Adityanath asked officials to put arrangements in place well in advance. He specifically directed them to ensure that visitors do not face difficulties while moving through roads, ghats and event venues, or while accessing facilities and darshan areas.

Officials were also told to maintain continuous monitoring of the preparations to prevent delays or mismanagement. The directions place crowd movement and operational coordination alongside the construction of temporary and permanent event facilities, making the management of public spaces a central part of the preparations.

Agriculture Minister and Ayodhya district in-charge Surya Pratap Shahi, senior officials and public representatives accompanied the chief minister during the inspection. The report did not specify the total cost of the works, the expected number of visitors or the detailed traffic plan for the festival.

Adityanath also offered prayers at Hanumangarhi and the Ram Temple, where he performed aarti and parikrama. He reviewed ongoing construction work within the temple complex and was briefed by office-bearers of the Ram Temple Trust on preparations and upcoming plans for Deepotsav.

The chief minister later held a review meeting with officials at the pilgrim facility centre within the temple complex to assess the festival arrangements. Further implementation will depend on departments completing the pending works and maintaining coordination ahead of the celebrations.
