The affected corridor, which serves as an important mobility route connecting residential, institutional and commercial developments, experienced waterlogging following a relatively moderate rainfall event. The disruption led to slower vehicle movement and congestion across both the main carriageway and adjoining service roads, affecting daily commuters during peak travel periods. Urban infrastructure experts note that isolated flooding after limited rainfall often signals deeper issues within drainage networks, including inadequate stormwater capacity, blocked channels, poor maintenance practices or insufficient integration between sewerage and rainwater systems.
