The exercise evaluated real-time mobile performance across multiple telecom operators using live voice calls and data sessions on available 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G networks. Parameters included signal coverage, call connectivity, dropped calls, download and upload speeds, latency and overall network reliability. For travellers, dependable mobile connectivity has become an essential part of the railway experience. Beyond communication, passengers increasingly rely on uninterrupted networks for digital ticketing, navigation, financial transactions, emergency communication and remote work.
