Project authorities confirmed that a 45-metre bridge span was successfully positioned over the Railway Over Bridge connecting Shahibaug, Asarwa and Kalupur — one of the city’s heavily used commuter corridors. The operation forms part of the larger Mumbai–Ahmedabad bullet train project, India’s flagship high-speed rail initiative aimed at transforming intercity mobility across western India. The Ahmedabad bullet train bridge segment was installed using the span-by-span construction technique, a method increasingly adopted in urban infrastructure projects to reduce disruption and improve precision in constrained spaces.
