Adani Energy Solutions Profit Surges 145% as Power Pipeline Expands

Adani Energy Solutions reported a 145% year-on-year rise in consolidated profit after tax to Rs 1,364 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, alongside a new 2,500MW power purchase agreement and an expanded transmission project pipeline worth about Rs 87,000 crore.

The company’s profit stood at Rs 557 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Total income increased 51% to Rs 10,239 crore from Rs 6,767 crore, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation rose 67% to Rs 3,548 crore, according to the results reported by Times of India – Ahmedabad.

Operational revenue grew 51% year on year to Rs 7,167 crore. Operating EBITDA increased 68% to Rs 3,070 crore during the quarter. For the first half of financial year 2026-27, the company’s profit after tax rose 137% to Rs 2,600 crore, compared with Rs 1,096 crore in the same period a year earlier.

Total income for the first half rose 46% to Rs 20,092 crore, while EBITDA increased 62% to Rs 6,726 crore. The figures indicate that the company’s reported growth during the quarter extended beyond a single project or business line, with both revenue and operating earnings rising substantially.

The company’s transmission business reported operating revenue of Rs 1,521 crore in the second quarter, a 17% increase from the corresponding period last year. Operating EBITDA in the segment rose 15% to Rs 1,394 crore.

Adani Energy Solutions also signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd for the supply of 2,500MW of round-the-clock power. The agreement links the company’s expansion to the state distribution system and represents a long-duration commitment for electricity supply.

The company’s transmission project pipeline comprised 15 projects valued at about Rs 87,000 crore. It said the near-term transmission tendering opportunity stood at about Rs 1.4 lakh crore, placing the reported order pipeline within a larger market of planned transmission procurements.

The scale of the pipeline is significant for the infrastructure sector because transmission projects determine how electricity generated in one location is moved to distribution networks and end users. However, the supplied announcement does not provide project-wise locations, construction schedules, commissioning dates, financing details or expected capacity additions for the 15 projects.

Kandarp Patel, chief executive officer of Adani Energy Solutions, said the company had expanded its growth pipeline by winning the Vizag and Satara transmission assets. He said the acquisitions had elevated the company’s active order book to Rs 87,000 crore.

The announcement identifies the Vizag and Satara assets as part of the company’s recent transmission wins, but does not disclose additional details about their implementation status, estimated completion timelines or the authorities responsible for awarding the projects. The next milestones will therefore be the progression of these assets and the company’s participation in the identified transmission tenders.
