Udaipur Launches Festival Trains To Delhi Jaipur From October Eighteenth
Udaipur is gearing up for the festive season with Indian Railways introducing special trains to manage increased passenger demand and ensure smooth travel across key routes connecting Rajasthan, Haryana, and Karnataka. Among the highlights is the Udaipur City–Delhi Sarai Rohilla Festival Special, set to operate on October 18 and 26, 2025, providing a direct, time-efficient connection for travellers heading to the national capital.
The 29-hour roundtrip service departs Udaipur City at 10:30 a.m., reaching Jaipur at 7:15 p.m. before continuing to Delhi Sarai Rohilla by 2:20 a.m. the following day. The return leg leaves Delhi at 5:00 a.m., arriving back in Udaipur the same evening. The train will make multiple halts, including Rana Pratap Nagar, Mavli, Fatehnagar, Kapasan, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Dausa, Alwar, Rewari, Gurugram, and Delhi Cantt, catering to regional passenger needs. The rake will comprise 16 coaches including Third AC, Sleeper, General, and Guard coaches.
Alongside, the Bhiwani–Ajmer–Bhiwani Unreserved Special will run six trips between October 18 and 25, 2025, providing additional options for unreserved travellers. Departing Bhiwani at 8:20 a.m. and arriving at Ajmer by 4:55 p.m., the return service departs Ajmer at 5:30 p.m., reaching Bhiwani at 2:40 a.m. The train has 12 coaches comprising 10 General and 2 Guard coaches, serving smaller towns en route.
Furthermore, the Mysuru–Jaipur Special addresses long-distance demand between Karnataka and Rajasthan. Scheduled for October 18 and 25, 2025, the train departs Mysuru at 11:55 p.m., arriving in Jaipur at 6:40 p.m. two days later. Its return journey runs on October 21 and 28, 2025, from Jaipur at 4:00 a.m. to Mysuru at 3:30 a.m. The train consists of 18 coaches including Second AC, Third AC, Sleeper, and Power Guard, catering to premium and standard passengers.Officials emphasise that these festival specials are designed to enhance passenger convenience, reduce overcrowding, and ensure reliable travel across high-demand routes. Authorities have coordinated with local railway stations, regional transport offices, and operational teams to monitor and manage the additional services effectively.
The initiative also reflects Indian Railways’ broader commitment to modernising infrastructure, expanding capacity during peak travel periods, and ensuring equitable access to safe and comfortable train services for all citizens.
