Pune Metro Pink Line passenger services on the Maan-Hinjawadi-District Court corridor will begin on November 4, 2026, with trains running every five minutes and 30 seconds during peak hours, according to details reported by Sakal – Pune. The 23.3-kilometre route is expected to connect Hinjawadi’s large information technology employment district with central Pune in approximately 45 minutes.
The corridor will link Maan and Hinjawadi with District Court, creating a direct public transport connection between the western edge of Pune’s expanding employment belt and the city’s central administrative area. The route is expected to serve thousands of information technology employees and other commuters who currently depend heavily on roads for daily travel.
The metro’s first services will begin at 6 am. The final train from Maan towards District Court is scheduled to depart at 10.30 pm, while the last service from District Court towards Maan will be available at 11.30 pm. These timings will provide early-morning and late-evening connectivity along the corridor.
During the main commuting periods, trains will operate every five minutes and 30 seconds. The peak windows identified in the published schedule are 7.30 am to 9.30 am and 5 pm to 8 pm. Outside these periods, the service frequency will be 10 minutes. The schedule is intended to reduce waiting times during office hours, when demand is expected to be highest.
The corridor’s importance is closely linked to Hinjawadi’s concentration of information technology companies. Regular road congestion in and around the area has contributed to longer and less predictable commutes for employees travelling between the IT park and other parts of Pune. The metro will provide an alternative to private vehicles and road-based services on a route where daily travel demand is strongly shaped by office timings.
The public service launch will follow the corridor’s inauguration ceremony scheduled for November 3, 2026. Passenger operations are therefore set to begin a day after the formal opening. The reported schedule establishes the initial operating window and frequency, while the extent to which it changes commuter travel patterns will depend on station access, interchange arrangements and the ability of workers to reach the metro from workplaces and residential areas.
For passengers, the immediate operational details are the 6 am start, the 10.30 pm last departure from Maan, the 11.30 pm last departure from District Court and the peak frequency of one train every five minutes and 30 seconds. These timings will determine how effectively the new corridor serves the daily movement between Hinjawadi and central Pune once services begin on November 4.
