Shivaram Karanth Layout plot applications will close at noon today, October 31, with the Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) warning applicants that challans generated, applications submitted or payments made after the prescribed deadlines will not be considered.
The online application process for site allotment in the Dr Shivaram Karanth Layout began on August 31, 2026. According to the revised notification cited by Prajavani, the deadline for submitting applications has been extended until 12 noon on October 31.
Applicants must also generate their challans by noon today. The BDA has separately instructed applicants to pay the application fee within the bank’s operating hours on the same day. This means that generating a challan before the noon cut-off does not remove the requirement to complete payment within the applicable banking hours.
The authority has clarified the deadlines to avoid confusion among members of the public and applicants. It said that challans generated after the specified final time, applications submitted after the cut-off and payments made beyond the permitted period would not be considered under any circumstances.
The process places separate time limits on three stages of the application: challan generation, submission of the online application and payment of the fee. Applicants who have not completed the required steps will therefore need to verify the status of their application and payment before the respective deadlines expire.
The Dr Shivaram Karanth Layout is one of the BDA’s major site-allotment initiatives in Bengaluru. The notice does not provide additional details in the supplied report on the number of sites, the allotment schedule or the next stages after applications close. The immediate deadline, however, is the noon cut-off for challan generation and application submission, followed by fee payment during bank working hours on October 31.
