Delhi School Bomb Threats Force Early Student Dispersal

Several schools in Delhi received fresh bomb threats on Friday, prompting early dispersal of students and searches of school premises by security agencies. No suspicious object has been found so far, according to the report, while the Delhi Police Special Cell is investigating the source of the threats.

SPV School and RS Junior Modern School on Humayun Road in Lutyens’ Delhi were among the institutions that received the threats. School administrations initiated precautionary measures after the information was received, including arrangements to send students home ahead of their scheduled departure time.

At RS Junior Modern School, the principal informed parents by email that the school had received a bomb threat. The communication said the decision to send students home early had been taken as a precaution, with the safety of students and staff treated as the highest priority.

The school asked parents to arrange for their children to be collected as soon as possible. It also informed them that school buses would leave earlier than their scheduled time to support the early dispersal of students.

Security agencies subsequently searched the affected school premises. The report said that no suspicious object had been found during the checks conducted so far. The Delhi Police Special Cell is attempting to identify the source of the threats and determine how they were issued.

Police and school authorities have appealed to parents to remain calm, rely on official updates and avoid circulating unverified information on social media. The repeated threats have increased concern among parents and school managements, while also creating operational pressure for schools, transport providers and security agencies.

The report said earlier threats received by schools had also turned out to be false, although each incident has required precautionary action, including searches, emergency communication with parents and changes to student transport arrangements. The investigation into the latest threats remains underway.
