TNSTC Adds 150 Daily Buses for Tirupati Brahmotsavam Rush

TNSTC will operate 150 special buses every day from Tamil Nadu to Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh during the Tirumala Navaratri Brahmotsavam, offering additional public transport capacity for devotees travelling to the festival between October 8 and 21.

The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation will run the services from multiple locations across the state, including Chennai, Tiruchi, Thanjavur, Salem, Coimbatore and Madurai. The network will also cover Karaikudi, Kumbakonam, Nagapattinam, Sengottai, Tiruchendur, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari and Nagercoil.

Additional departure points listed for the special services include Puducherry, Kallakurichi, Villupuram, Vellore, Thirupathur, Tiruvannamalai, Kanchipuram and Tambaram. Buses will also operate from Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Harur and Hosur, extending access to passengers from northern Tamil Nadu and areas close to the Andhra Pradesh border.

The special operation is intended to serve the rise in passenger demand associated with the Tirumala Navaratri Brahmotsavam, an annual festival held at Tirupati. By adding scheduled services from several cities and towns, TNSTC is providing more travel options for passengers who would otherwise depend on regular bus services or private vehicles.

The announcement covers daily operations during the festival period. The report does not specify the individual departure timings, fares, bus types, reservation arrangements or the exact number of services assigned to each origin. Passengers will therefore need to confirm route-level operational details with TNSTC before travelling.

The special bus programme will remain in place from October 8 through October 21, covering the full period identified for the Tirumala Navaratri Brahmotsavam.
