The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation received 44 citizen grievances during its Monday Prajavani programme, with town planning complaints accounting for the largest share, according to the corporation. Commissioner G Srijana heard the complaints and reviewed them with the heads of the concerned departments.
Of the 44 grievances, 31 were related to town planning. Six complaints concerned the engineering wing, while two involved urban biodiversity. Estates, food safety, revenue and property tax, sanitation, and urban community matters accounted for one complaint each.
The distribution places planning-related issues at the centre of the corporation’s grievance workload during the session. The report does not specify the locations of the complaints, the individual issues raised, or whether they relate to approvals, unauthorised construction, land-use matters or other town planning services.
The corporation said every grievance was registered with a unique grievance identification number and a tracking link. This allows complainants to follow the status and progress of their cases after submission.
Commissioner Srijana directed the concerned heads of departments to examine each grievance and take action within the prescribed timelines. She also instructed officials to maintain regular follow-up until the complaints are resolved.
The Prajavani programme provides a formal channel for residents to bring civic and planning-related issues before the municipal administration. The next stage for the 44 complaints will depend on departmental examination, action within the prescribed timelines and subsequent updates through the corporation’s tracking system.
