Puttur Medical College Hospital has received a ₹182 crore construction push, with local MLA Ashok Kumar Rai saying the teaching hospital at Sediapau will be completed within a year and that the medical college is expected to begin functioning from an interim site in 2027.
Rai made the announcement after performing the ground-breaking ceremony for the proposed Puttur Medical Teaching Hospital at Sediapau. He said construction of all buildings linked to the medical college would be completed within the next year, followed by relocation to the permanent campus in the second year.
According to the report, the medical college building has already received a sanctioned allocation of ₹550 crore. Rai said the Chief Minister would lay the foundation stone for both the ₹182 crore hospital and the medical college building within the next month.
