Cyberabad recorded 81,315 Ganesh idol immersions across 53 designated locations over six days, with the municipal corporation deploying sanitation, engineering, traffic and safety teams to manage the city-wide operation. The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) said monitoring would continue at all immersion points during the immersion period.
According to the consolidated immersion report, 66,530 idols were below three feet in height, while 14,785 were above three feet. The figures cover designated immersion locations within the CMC limits and reflect the scale of the civic arrangements required across multiple circles.
Kukatpally Circle recorded the highest number of immersions at 23,501. It was followed by Kompally with 11,526 immersions and Serilingampally with 8,495. Jeedimetla recorded 7,145 immersions, while Miyapur recorded 6,256.
Other locations included Chintal, with 4,408 immersions; Ameenpur, with 4,274; Allwyn Colony, with 4,015; and Patancheru, with 3,661. Nizampet recorded 3,257 immersions, followed by Narsingi with 3,024, Madhapur with 2,828, Dundigal with 1,846 and Medchal with 1,079.
The CMC said field-level coordination was being maintained continuously at all 53 sites to manage sanitation, waste clearance, access and other civic arrangements. Special attention was being given to the prompt removal of pooja material and other immersion-related waste in order to maintain cleanliness around the designated locations.
The operation places multiple municipal functions on a common schedule. Sanitation teams are responsible for clearing immersion-related waste, engineering teams support site arrangements, traffic teams manage access and movement, and safety personnel oversee conditions at the designated points. The civic body said coordination among these teams was continuing throughout the immersion process.
CMC Commissioner G. Srijana directed officials and field teams to maintain continuous monitoring, ensure the timely deployment of manpower and machinery, and coordinate with various line departments for the smooth conduct of the immersions. The directions cover both the immediate management of the sites and the removal of waste generated during the activity.
The municipal corporation said it would continue monitoring all 53 designated immersion points and take necessary measures to keep the locations clean, safe and well-managed during the remaining immersion period.
