Allotment letters for 7,340 affordable flats under Telangana’s Indiramma Housing Towers programme will begin reaching beneficiaries in Hyderabad from September 21, 2026, while the State government is also laying the foundation stone for a new housing tower in Raidurg.
The Telangana Housing Board will send the allotment letters to beneficiaries’ registered mobile numbers and WhatsApp accounts. The documents will also be uploaded on the Housing Board’s website, according to a press release cited by The Hindu.
Beneficiaries were selected through a draw of lots covering 16 Assembly constituencies. People placed on waiting lists were also selected, and field-level verification was conducted to check whether applicants met the eligibility criteria.
The allotment letters will include details of the payment instalments, the account into which beneficiaries must transfer their contribution and other project-related information. The government will provide a subsidy of ₹5 lakh for each flat, while every beneficiary will have to contribute ₹6 lakh in four instalments.
Each flat will have a plinth area of 528 square feet and a carpet area of 480 square feet. The government will bear the cost of the land for the housing projects.
On September 21, Housing and Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the Indiramma Housing Towers in Raidurg, in the Serilingampally Assembly constituency. The site is located behind Malkam Cheruvu and covers 2.85 acres of land belonging to the Telangana Housing Board.
The Raidurg site places the affordable housing project in one of Hyderabad’s most commercially valuable urban areas. Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited recently sold land parcels in the locality at record prices. According to the Housing Board, 5.25 acres were sold for ₹264 crore an acre and 5.38 acres for ₹269 crore an acre in August 2026.
Using those transactions as indicative market benchmarks, the Board has estimated the value of the 2.85-acre Raidurg site at between ₹752 crore and ₹767 crore. It said a flat in the locality costs around ₹50 lakh in the open market.
The project therefore combines a fixed beneficiary contribution with a substantial public land component. The allotment letters will establish the payment schedule and other conditions for selected households, while construction of the Raidurg towers is expected to proceed after the foundation stone ceremony.
Telangana Housing Board Vice-Chairman V.P. Gautham has invited beneficiaries from Serilingampally to attend the foundation stone-laying ceremony. The Board’s website is expected to host the allotment documents alongside their delivery through registered mobile numbers and WhatsApp accounts.
