Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd has awarded Diamond Power Infrastructure a Letter of Award worth ₹179.43 crore for supplying about 871 kilometres of underground power cables for Mumbai’s distribution network, in a move that expands the city’s planned cable infrastructure.
Diamond Power Infrastructure said on Tuesday that the order value includes GST and covers a combination of 33 kV and 11 kV medium-voltage cables, along with associated 1.1 kV low-voltage cables. The pricing also includes packing, forwarding, freight and transit insurance, according to the company statement.
The order has been placed through a Letter of Award issued by Adani Electricity Mumbai. Diamond Power Infrastructure said the formal purchase order will be issued by the customer against the award. The company did not provide a project-wise breakdown of the 871-kilometre cable quantity or specify the locations and installation schedule within the Mumbai distribution network.
The supply relates to underground power infrastructure, which forms part of the distribution system that carries electricity closer to consumers and urban establishments.
