One Karnataka Mobility App Unifies State Bus Services and Tickets

One Karnataka Mobility app launched to unify Karnataka bus services

The Karnataka government has launched the One Karnataka Mobility app, a digital platform designed to bring passenger services from the state’s four road transport corporations onto one interface. The platform was unveiled at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru on September 11, 2026, alongside the updated KSRTC Avatar 2.0 app and a WhatsApp ticketing service.

Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar launched the services at an event organised to mark 100 days of the new government, according to a report by Prajavani. The integrated platform covers the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC), Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC) and Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC).

The app includes secure login and passenger identity verification features. Users can view previous bookings and manage transaction details through the platform. It also provides a single channel for passengers to submit complaints related to the four transport corporations, check the status of their complaints and track progress towards resolution.

The state transport system is also scheduled to add digital monthly passes to the platform. The proposed facility will allow passengers to book, receive and manage bus passes online. The service is expected to include QR code-based digital verification, although the report did not specify a launch date for these features.

The WhatsApp booking facility currently enables passengers to book tickets for KSRTC, NWKRTC and KKRTC buses. Passengers can begin the process by sending a message to 6364940880. Payments can be made using the Unified Payments Interface, credit cards, debit cards and digital wallets, according to KSRTC officials cited in the report.

Once payment is completed, the booking confirmation and electronic ticket will be sent to the passenger through WhatsApp and email. Tickets booked through WhatsApp can also be cancelled through the same service. To cancel a ticket, passengers must select the cancellation option and enter their PNR number, mobile number and password.

The app is intended to consolidate services that are currently managed through separate transport corporation systems. By placing bookings, complaints and transaction information on one platform, the initiative creates a common digital interface for passengers using different state-run bus operators. The report did not provide details on the app’s download figures, implementation cost or the number of routes covered at launch.

The transport authorities have not announced a specific timeline for the rollout of digital monthly passes and QR code verification. Those features, along with the scope of future integration for BMTC services, will determine how extensively the platform is used across Karnataka’s public bus network.
