BENGALURU | September 11, 2026 — The Karnataka government has launched the One Karnataka Mobility app, bringing ticketing and passenger grievance services for four state-run transport corporations onto a single digital platform. The service was unveiled by Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar at an event held at Vidhana Soudha to mark 100 days of the new government.
The platform brings together the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC), Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC) and Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC). The launch also includes an updated version of the KSRTC Avatar 2.0 mobile application and a WhatsApp-based ticketing facility.
Passengers will be able to use a secure login system to authenticate their identity, view previous bookings and manage transactions. The app will also allow users to file complaints related to any of the four transport corporations through one interface, check complaint status and track the progress of resolution.
WhatsApp ticket booking has initially been enabled for KSRTC, NWKRTC and KKRTC bus services. Passengers can start the booking process by sending a message to 6364940880. Payments can be made through the Unified Payments Interface, credit cards, debit cards and digital wallets, according to KSRTC officials.
After a successful payment, the booking confirmation and electronic ticket will be sent to the passenger through WhatsApp and email. Tickets booked through WhatsApp can also be cancelled through the same channel by selecting the cancellation option and entering the PNR number, mobile number and password.
The government said the platform is intended to consolidate digital services across the state’s transport corporations. Future features will include digital monthly passes, with online booking, issuance and management, as well as QR code-based digital verification for passengers and transport authorities.
The launch expands the digital interface available to passengers but the material supplied for the announcement does not specify a full rollout timeline for the planned monthly-pass and QR verification features. The WhatsApp ticketing service is currently available for the three listed corporations, while the One Karnataka Mobility platform is designed to cover all four transport agencies.
