Bhayandar–Naigaon creek bridge stunt video: six youths who allegedly entered a restricted railway area and performed dangerous stunts have apologised after action by Western Railway and the Railway Protection Force (RPF), according to a report by Loksatta – Vasai-Virar published on September 3, 2026.
The youths allegedly entered the restricted section of the Bhayandar–Naigaon creek bridge by opening an iron duct. A video circulated on social media in August showed them descending by a ladder into the lower section of the bridge and hanging from its steel structure while performing pull-ups.
The video also appeared to show spray-painted markings on railway property. The footage drew criticism from social media users over the risks involved in entering the bridge area and concerns about railway security.
Following the circulation of the video, railway authorities took action through the Bhayandar RPF police station. A case was registered under Sections 145 and 147 of the Railways Act, relating to nuisance and unauthorised trespass, the report said.
The six youths later appeared at the Bhayandar railway police station and admitted their mistake. Western Railway shared a video of their apology through its official account on X, using the caption, “The stunt was for reels, the RPF action was real.”
In the video, the youths urged others not to repeat their actions. They said that entering restricted areas and performing stunts could prove fatal, and warned that a criminal record could affect a person’s education and future.
The incident involved a railway bridge area between Bhayandar and Naigaon in the Vasai-Virar region. The reported case and the apology video mark the latest official response to the circulation of the stunt footage.
