The latest expansion of the Chennai industrial park forms part of a long-term collaboration between an Indian real estate developer and a Japanese trading and investment company that has steadily increased its investment footprint over the past decade. The newly planned land parcel will take the project’s total planned area to around 540 acres, reflecting sustained demand from domestic manufacturers and overseas firms seeking production bases in southern India.
